Keleigh Teller says she left a wedding dress behind in a house destroyed by an LA wildfire

Keleigh Teller is mourning the loss of her Los Angeles home, which was reduced to rubble by the raging Pacific Palisades wildfire, and the sentimental possessions left behind.

In a post shared to Instagram on Jan. 9, the 32-year-old model expressed her sadness over the loss of her wedding dress and shared that she wished she “packed” the meaningful item when she and her husband, Miles Teller, had their evacuated the neighborhood. “I wish I did a lot differently, but whatever, stay safe, get out,” she wrote.

The actress also shared a photo of her still-standing home surrounded by clouds of smoke before it was burned down in the devastating disaster.

“To everyone who has reached out, I can’t thank you enough. Your kind hearts meant the world, I will never forget them,” she added.

Keleigh and Miles got married in September 2019 in Maui, Hawaii. Before tying the knot, they dated for four years after meeting at a Grammys afterparty. They got engaged in August 2017 during a safari trip in South Africa.

In an interview with Fashion When Keleigh was released at the time, he shared details about her custom Monique Lhuillier wedding gown.

“I wanted to keep it elegant and classic because our ceremony was in a church, but I also wanted the dress to have an airy feel,” she said. “We started with a fairly simple dress that I redesigned a bit to get the perfect timeless feel,” she added.

According to the outlet, she also wore a necklace from her mother, something all of her sisters wore on their wedding days.

Last August, the Tellers celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, an occasion in which Keleigh proposed and surprised her husband with a boat she bought. They also commemorated the milestone by getting matching tattoos on their ring fingers in September.

The Tellers are not the only celebrities affected by the harrowing fire.

Billy Crystal, Ricki Lake, Cameron Mathison and Paris Hilton are among the stars who have confirmed their homes are gone.

PEOPLE reported that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam, John Goodman, Jennifer Gray and others also lost homes.
