Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show gets a new premiere date.
The streaming giant said on Sunday that the Duchess of Sussex had requested this With love, Meghan is being moved from a previously announced premiere date of January 15 out of sensitivity to the victims of the wildfires raging in Los Angeles.
“I am grateful to my partners at Netflix for their support in delaying the launch while we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my home state of California,” she said in a statement.
The show now debuts on March 4.
With love, Meghan is described as “a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California.” Markle produces the show, which combines “practical how-tos with candid conversations with friends new and old.” She shares personal tips and tricks for cooking, gardening and more. Special guests include Roy Choi, Mindy Kaling and Alice Waters.
Eight episodes of the series have been ordered. The series is part of a five-year, $100 million deal that Netflix struck with the couple in 2020.
With love, Meghan was shot in Montecito, California, where Markle lives with her husband, Prince Harry, about 80 miles north of Los Angeles. The couple have reportedly opened their home to friends evacuated due to the wildfires, and have donated clothing and other items to those affected by the fires.
