She further revealed details about the cause of his death, saying: “Hello everyone. This is Gail, Dale’s wife. It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you. Last night Dale left this earthly existence. After living with metastatic prostate cancer and Parkinson’s disease for years, he was ready.”

Dale’s wife went on to talk about how her husband meant the world to her when she said goodbye to him with a text from Bonnie Raitt. It read, “He taught me how to live… how to be myself… and how to give.” Gail Wilson closed the statement with a speech to the rest of Dale’s family and fans.
